I attended Freed-Hardeman University where I played basketball while obtaining my Bachelor of Science degree in psychology. From there I went on to pursue a career in medicine, attending Trevecca Nazarene University where I earned a Master's of Science-Medicine in 2011. Since that time I have practiced as a licensed and board certified Physician Assistant in various fields.
I am married to a Jackson native and we have 3 children. We enjoy being active at church and in the community, and you can often find us at the local sporting events. Aside from spending time with my family, I love to run, hike and travel. I look forward to getting to know you!

Over the years I have worked with a wide variety of clients including adults, families and children. I have addressed multiple issues ranging from marital conflict, substance abuse, anxiety, depression and anger issues.

Often trauma is buried in the body, not just the mind, thus the reason it is helpful to bring the body into therapy with yoga practice and mindfulness. My desire is to help clients get their voices back no matter what type of trauma experienced.
I am a retired homeschool mom of 3 amazing kids. I have been married the past 29 years. My marriage has been wonderful, yet imperfect. I can testify that marriage and raising kids is not always easy. I desire to help those who might need a voice of reason and compassion. I am also a born-again Christian who has experienced spiritual abuse in the church, the last place one would think to experience abuse. I desire to help those who have experienced this type of trauma. You are not alone.

Presently, I am working on my LCSW and finishing up a masters in pastoral counseling/chaplain training with Liberty University. I am also a registered yoga teacher and yoga therapist. I am certified in trauma sensitive yoga, life coaching and health coaching.

Christian Counseling is unique in that the values of the Counselor are revealed at the forefront. I primarily use Reality Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral, Narrative Therapy, and Experiential approaches. However, I will be flexible and tailor the approaches to meet individual needs.
